Revlon Naughty

I admit it, I eyed Chanel Paradoxal for a while but couldn't justify spending that much on it and when I heard about Relon having a dupe for it called Perplex, I waited for us to get it in here but it never came. I guess the polish gods finally heard my pleas smiled upon me because the other day they had the new display of Revlon in. Most of the colors were gone but the new release for Perplex under the name Naughty was still there.
Revlon Naughty is supposed to be a dupe for Chanel Paradoxal, since I don't own Paradoxal I can't compare them but from the pictures I have seen Naughty seems a bit more purple. The base looks like a dark brown taupe with a touch of purple and has some gorgeous purple shimmer, maybe even a little red, when light his it.

What is the most you have even paid for a polish? What is the most you think you would ever pay?

  1. Wow it does look quite like Paradoxal! The most I've ever paid is $105 HKD for a OPI DS polish, the most I would ever pay ... well that depends on the colour :D

    1. That's reasonable for a DS, I still have yet to get a hold of any DS polishes.

  2. The most I've paid is $25.00 US for OPI DS Glamour, a blue linear holo polish. I might pay more than that if it's a polish I've been seriously yearning for (holo) and can't find anywhere else (holo) and, well, if it's holo. I can't justify buying Chanel, especially when there are much more affordable dupes out there!

I picked up Naughty, too, along with all of the Deborah Lippmann dupes I could find in the new Revlon colors--I'm still hunting for Whimsical. Your picture makes me want to try my bottle out! ^_^ It looks beautiful.

    1. Oh, the pictures I have seen of Glamour are gorgeous, Love holos!
I'm still looking for Whimsical too, I think we won't be getting it. Thanks, you definitely should!

    1. That is what I used to do when we were back in the states, buying on sale at the salon. Polish in Japan can get expensive!

  4. My mom bought a debora lippmann polish to me for 199 norwegian kroners (about 19 £ ), and thats the most expensive polish I have. But I wouldn't spend more than 10 £ on nailpolish.
    Btw, very pretty polish! ;)

  5. That looks gorgeous on you! The most i've paid is for a Deborah Lippmann...Across the Universe. Love the color although I don't wear it often because of what I paid for it and removal is a pain.

    1. Thanks, I am the same way, if it was expensive I wear it less.

  6. I have Revlon Perplex and I like it, but not enough to pay the full price for the Chanel name tag. I have a few expensive polishes and the most I paid must be around € 22,- for 1 polish. I don't mind, once in a while, if the polish is truly worth it!

    1. I agree, if the polish is unique or somehow amazing I would consider it but for everyday high end brands are just too expensive for me.

  8. $10 for Orly's Space Cadet. My husband likes to buy D. Lippmanns for me. He said to me $18 for one bottle of nail polish seemed like a pretty good deal! LOL, he doesn't know, such a guy!

I bought Barry M's Dusky Mauve on ebay for $8, the other Paradoxal dupe, which doesn't look as purple as Revlon. The Revlon one here (US) is impossible to find!

    Super pretty! Love your blog.

  9. In all honesty the most I've spent is about $8 USD on a bottle of OPI. I'm new to the polish world though. I can't see be spending much more than $15-$20 USD. I just ask myself how much a prof mani is

    1. That's about my normal limit. I will only spend more if it is spectacular.

  11. What a gorgeous color! It looks great on you. :) The most I've spent so far is $17ish for Glitter Gal 10 to Midnight. I think I'd go a little bit higher if it was one I really wanted and was going to be discontinued or something. Not for Chanel, though. ;)

    1. Thank you! Yes, most of the Chanel polishes I have seen just don't seem that great for the price.

  12. Hmm most I paid for a polish would be 12 bucks for a nfu-oh...but I might go up to 25 if I REALLY needed to slay the urge to have it. I do try to find cheapest dupes first though (I'm looking at YOU, Revlon Whimsical! <3) because I'd rather buy 5 cheapie polishes sometimes rather than 1 HE one.

    1. Totally agree, I made my own black holo because I needed OPI MPJ so bad but couldn't justify the prices on ebay and taking the chance it was fake. Ugghh, I need Whimsical too!
